day 54: The Big Bag

The Big Bag
Did some damage at the Urban Outfitters sale this evening. They gave me the big bag.

day 53: Bourbon & Blues

Bourbon & Blues
Necessary items for songwriting.

day 52: Mixed Signals

Mixed Signals
To cross or not to cross? That was the question.

day 51: Happy Birthday Mr. President(s)

Happy Birthday Mr. President(s)
Happy Presidents' Day...

day 50: Friends Like You (and music like this)

Friends Like You (and music like this)
A little belated, but finally got Abby's V-Day mix and had a chance to do some rocking out to it today. This completes 10 years of mixes!! (How old are we getting?!?!)

Seems like Clippership was just yesterday...  ;)

day 49: Taggin' It Up

Taggin' It Up
Following an epic brunch party at Jane & Doug's (which is a tough thing to follow) and some necessary couch potato-ing at the Villager, my degenerate friends and I decided to make a quick trip to Billy Hurricane's to truly appreciate the cheese-factor of this East Village invasion.

Exhibit A: The "status update" chalkboard, which we sufficiently tagged up before we left.

day 48: The Soup

The Soup
Feeling a little under the weather Friday night, I decided to try a recipe for Avgolemono soup (inspired by the amazing Avgolemono at Snack).

Mine wasn't as good as Snack's, but it was pretty impressive for a first try. I ate it all :)

day 47: Strange Office Mates

Strange Office Mates
Working from home does have its perks. Even if your office mates are a little strange.

day 46: Like They Do in the Movies

Like They Do in the Movies
Lighting tech for film class at NYU.

Big time, big time...

day 45: Doc Night

Doc Night
Doc night at IFC. Went to see Erroll Morris' Fast, Cheap & Out of Control. Really great film. I love, love the cinematography. And I find Erroll Morris' brain fascinating that he could come up with an idea like that for a film and totally make it work. I highly recommend checking it out.

day 44: Valentine

Valentine
Whew. All caught up on posting pictures. What a weekend. Caught this very pretty shot of BAM all decked out in red on my way to class tonight. Lovely.

day 43: Happy Birtday Merrill!!

Happy Birtday Merrill!
The big birthday bash for my mom went without a hitch! Except for the typo on the menu... that's how we say it in brooklyn.

day 42: Photo Booth

Photo Booth
Photo booth pictures from Mason Dixon saturday night. No matter what I do, my giant head always seems to be front and center in every photo booth picture I take.

day 41: Goes to Eleven

Goes to Eleven
Band practice has officially begun. This amp is less "goes to eleven" and more like the little engine that could. I think I can...

Now accepting band name suggestions.

day 40: Hydration is Key

Hydration is Key
After a very full day of work, a failed attempt to attend a gallery performance, a successful attempt to have a beer with friends, an equally successful attempt to have a cocktail with family, followed by an amount of shochu and sushi that I am too embarrassed to disclose, I did not manage to take a picture of any of it.

However, I did get a shot of the most important part - hydration. Hydration is key.

day 39: Tea & Sympathy

Tea & Sympathy
Ending a long day of camera tech & production workshops with a cup of yogi tea. I hope this advice is referring to me making a movie. That is a miracle that I would like to see.

day 38: Fire in the Disco

Fire in the Disco
Danger! High Voltage!

Came across a bunch of fire trucks at Union Square West this evening. Couldn't figure out what was going on. My guess is that something was on fire.

day 37: To Do

To Do
Got a little behind on the posting this weekend. What a whirlwind few days. My rather daunting To-Do list for the week.

day 36: All My Love in Vain

All My Love in Vain
Eh.

A hopeful shot Sunday morning.

day 35: El Diablo

El Diablo
Do you ever go out to a dinner that just ends up being a fail on all accounts? Such was the case at Diablo Royale in the east village Saturday night. Confused host, waitstaff on drugs, slow service, weak margaritas, expensive shots to make up for weak margaritas.

Anyway, the wall of candles looked cool.

day 34: Electric Guitars Are Sexy

Electric Guitars Are Sexy
Watched It Might Get Loud today for documentary class. What a fantastically amazing film. Watching Jimmy Page and Jack White jam together is just out of control.

day 33: Glitterjoyce

Glitterjoyce
Sparkly eye makeup makes me smile.

day 32: Night Lights

Night Lights
Late night over the Manhattan Bridge. Kind of an impressionistic shot from a bumpy cab ride in low light. Pretty, though.

day 31: Pirrrrate

Pirrrrate
Had a software pirating party at Jen's, complete with tropical bird - meet Beetle. This was taken shortly after she bit me on the arm for trying to feed her a carrot. Apparently she does not approve of pirating software. Fair enough.

day 30: Wired

Wired
Got my HDMI cables & mini-DVI adapter from Amazon today. I am officially wired. I installed Boxee, which is really cool in theory - though in reality it still has some quirks that I don't quite like. It won't let me watch things from Hulu Plus and I think viewing Netflix is easier if you just go to the site. But it is still an improvement to my cable-free existence.
